Currently on AWD's summer wish list: Versatile linen and stripes.
Linen is one of the best addition in our wardrobe for this summer city. Its extremely breathable qualities make it summer’s fabric of choice — breezy and comfy which means it is the easiest to wear out in our year-long heatwave. Whoever said that linens were boring and too basic simply haven't seen the ones over here at AWD. For your daily dosage of summer-ready prints, take a look at our latest arrivals on site. Injecting a bit of print and colour on linen not only brightens up the otherwise dull and simple material, but it also helps to hide any translucency that comes with an organic fabric like linen. Lining? Nah, we rather keep things light and breezy.
Simple patterns like stripes, which is universally flattering that is known to elongate your figure, is our current obsession. Perfect for everyday wear, the subtlety of stripes comes with an advantage - versatility! You can never go wrong with stripes. Pairing it with your other summer essentials will be an absolute breeze. It is a vivid print that can be dressed up, and down, and yet still look so effortlessly cool. You can even pair stripes and linen together for what sleek office look. From the cold air-conditioned depths of the office to the humidity that's waiting for your arrival once you step out of the glass doors, it's so easy to place our trust in linen when it can keep you both warm and cool at the same time.
Linens and stripes are often pairings for weekend ensembles, but they can still look incredibly sophisticated for the workweek. Shop the edit below for some extra goodies for your wardrobe, and fall in love with the allure of linen and stripes.
